Addicted is climbing the download charts

Posted by Lasse on November 21, 2008

Our new single release - Addicted (Chuck Dread Remix) - is climbing the download charts in Sweden. Today it hit number one on CDON and is currently number 21 on Itunes Sweden.

To say we are pleased is a bit of an understatment. Surprised too? Yes maybe but to our ears it’s well deserved. We think the original was good but Fred’s remix made it even better.

Make up your own mind!

Shadows - The first ever podsafe CD album

Posted by Lasse on November 3, 2008

On the 6th of October we released our new album Shadows.
We are very pleased with the way the album came out. Pleased in that way you are when your doing what matters most in life. And doing it without compromises.
Podcasters has been a major part in that. Without their response to our music (played 225 times in more than 75 different shows in the last year) we woudn’t be where we are today. They have given us so much encouragment and energy to move forward.
So how could we give something back?
We came up with the idea to make the whole CD podsafe, making it the first ever podsafe album ever (at least we think so).
We think that is pretty cool and hope you agree.

This is how it works:

1. Order the CD by clicking on the button below or by following this link. The price is $9.50 + $5 for S/H. A total of $14.50. And if you reside in the European Union you have to pay an additional sales tax of $3.63 on top of that.
We’ll ship it to you as soon as we can, usually the next day. Depending on where in the world you are it’ll take 2 to 8 days for the CD to reach you.

2. You’ll get the CD (with the cool podsafe sticker and all), a printed, personal and signed license to play any song from the CD in any podcast you host forever (see example here and read all the legal stuff). And we throw in the single So Much More too as an extra treat.

3. We also mail you links to mp3 versions of all the songs on the CD. So there is no need to rip the CD, just download the songs you want.
Included are also some station IDs, cool graphics, and a PDF version of the license.

Sounds good? Well, the click on the button to get your own podsafe copy and license!

And you can of still find us on the Podsafe Music Network with some podsafe songs from the CD.

First review of the new album

Posted by Lasse on September 1, 2008

NextBigThing

The Next big thing just published a review of the new album.

Deep into the second track, `Every Day, Every Night’ the listener is made aware that hiding behind this perfect pop electronic funk (edging into new wave) even a simple love song has its own fears and darkness.

Shooting then into a slow blues, these Strangers show their wonderland can be full of a fragile and pulsing desire. This Wonderland is seductive and slightly dirty and not always as safe as the sugar coated music sighs would suggest. But who wants safety when the pleasure is in the hidden ragged beauty of the needs and the dreaming of this band.

We come now to what is my favourite track, `Still Standing` a song that distills essence of the ghosts in the radio, the lost spirits caught among the shifting airwaves, this glides and swirls , uneasy yet powerful.

More cool slightly on the edge tunes follow, the sound of what should be on the nations pop charts, the alternative strokes within are subtly painted and without sacrificing the catchy, there are enough twists to comfort the listener who wants a bit more.

This is the kind of album that makes those people who categorise tunes for ipods tremble, cause it slinks from style to style, keeping though, the essence, the DARKNESS of the band.

Mention must be made of the Chuck Dread remixes included on the CD, adding a neon dance floor glow and kapow to the tunes, a late night strobe shiver, bring even more magic to this strange Pop-land.
